However, Snowline & VIP also understand that parents might well want some time away from the demands of little ones which is why they offer guests flexi-hours with private nannies, a baby specialist (in Val d’Isère) and infant packs for all those baby essentials that you can’t do without!
Snowline & VIP Ski School in Val d’Isère and La Plagne
Children as young as 3 years old can hit the slopes in classes specially designed to be fun and entertaining, whilst also having the best care taken of them by the experienced English-speaking instructors of the award-winning ski-school Oxygène. In Val d’Isère class sizes are kept small with never more than 7 in a class and a maximum of 3 in the youngest group, the Mini Eskimos (3-4years). Mini Eskimos is designed specifically for 3 and 4 year old beginners and runs from 09h00 to 10h30 on the nursery slopes. Eskimos Level 1 (5-12 years) is designed for absolute beginners, starting on the nursery slopes before progressing on to using the chairlift by the end of the week. Eskimos Level 2 (5-12 years) is perfect for children who have already skied and are comfortable with snowplough aiming to increase their confidence and control. For children who are already comfortable on green runs Eskimos Level 3 will help them progress to blue runs and parallel skiing before the week is over.
Mini Eskimos: £269 for 5 mornings tuition Monday-Friday 9h00-10h30.
Eskimos Level 1, 2 and 3: £285 for 5 mornings of tuition Monday-Friday 9h00-12h00.
Similarly in La Plagne there are 3 children’s classes graded by age and ability as well as an Adult Discovery package for mums and dads who don’t want to be put to shame on the slopes.
Polar Cubs Level 1 (3-5years): £285 for 5 mornings of tuition and 6 days ski hire.
Polar Cubs Level 2 (3-5years with a week or more skiing experience): £285 for 5 mornings of tuition and 6 days ski hire.
Polar Bears Level 1 (6-10yeras): £329 for 5 mornings of tuition and 6 days ski hire including beginners lift pass.
*Save £36 on Polar Cubs 1 & 2 and £46 on Polar Bears Level 1 if travelling on the weeks beginning 4th, 11th & 18th January.
Private Nanny Flexi-hours
Nannies are available in all Snowline & VIP destinations (except Zermatt), work 5 and half days a week and are available from 8:30am-7:30pm, so all you need to do is choose 8 consecutive hours a day which you would like your nanny to work, it’s that simple! The rest is up to your nanny, whether that’s entertaining the children with an extensive goody box containing paints, model making materials, board games, and books or taking them out for walks, sledging or building snowmen!
Private nannies can look after children from the age of 6mths to 12yrs and are available on request from £400-£750 (based on time of season and number of children).
Baby Specialist in Val d’Isère
Don’t let a new-comer to the family hold you back from enjoying the slopes. Snowline & VIP offer guests the services of their baby specialist, who has extensive experience working with young babies. Caring for babies as young as 3 months, mums can enjoy some time on the slopes, or just catch up on some much needed zzz’s!
The baby specialist is available to Snowline & VIP guests from £520 (looking after 1-2 children, for the week).
Infant Packs and Organic treats for tots
Skiing holidays are always going to prove to be a problem where luggage is concerned, especially if you are travelling with children. If you are in a dilemma as to whether to pack that last pair of shoes or the children’s nappies, panic not! All Snowline & VIP guests are able to pre-order infant packs before departure so when they arrive in their chalet they have a full supply of nappies, baby wipes and powdered or formula milk awaiting them!
Snowline &VIP Infant Packs are available on request in two sizes; The Mini pack (Includes Huggies Super Dry or Pampers Active Fit and Pampers Sensitive baby wipes) for £15 or the Maxi Pack (as for Mini with the addition of SMA Gold or White and Milupa Aptimal Stages 1, 2 &3) for £25.
Also on offer to all Snowline & VIP guests travelling with children - complimentary organic children’s toiletries from Little Me in every chalet! Children will love bath-time with the organic mandarin and tangerine bubble bath and then rub them down with some Dream Time Body Crème to ensure they get straight off to sleep. All the products are gentle formulations of organic ingredients and essential oils, perfect for young skin.
