Airport Travel Tax could be the tipping point for families

Sticky Fingers Travel, an online travel website for families, has today expressed disappointment at the airport travel tax introduced today in the budget. The tax which apply to all departures from Irish airports will take effect on the 30th of March 2009, just in time for the Easter school holidays. The general rate applying will be €10 per passenger with a lower rate of €2 for shorter air journeys (those under 300 kms).
